PARMA CULINARY EXPERIENCE ITINERARY… An exceptional cooking and cultural adventure
5 Days, 4 Nights:
Monday - Day 1:
Arrival at Parma train station (*or if flying, separate arrangements can be scheduled). Private transport to the regal PALAZZO DALLA ROSA PRATI adjacent to the historic Piazza Duomo.

Receive detailed Orientation Package upon arrival (including itinerary, walking map of Parma, list of suggested restaurants, food shops and other interesting stores, such as antiques, pottery, jewelry, kitchen items, and more).

Invitation to a Welcome Dinner that evening at Ristorante La Filoma, walking distance from the Palazzo Dalla Rosa Prati during which time the escort/translator will review the itinerary along with providing recipes and preparation instructions..
Tuesday - Day 2:
- Italian breakfast in regal hotel room.
- Your driver and escort/translator will pick up to visit a famous Prosciutto/Culatello producer located in the picturesque countryside outside of Parma, where you will enjoy a full tasting of selected cold cuts, Parmesan Cheese, and local wine.
- Next, you will be transported to the Chef’s farmhouse for your first cooking lesson.
- 1st Cooking Lesson takes place in Chef Alessandra Vignali‘s farmhouse located near the above Prosciutto/Culatello producer (using such wholesome ingredients as fresh herbs from her garden, fresh eggs from the hen house, and fresh cream.)
- Late lunch follows at the farmhouse.
- Return to the hotel for a comfortable Italian style afternoon rest.
- Evening and dinner at your leisure. Time to discover some of Parma’s elegant shops and wonderful restaurants.
Wednesday - Day 3:
- Italian breakfast in regal hotel room.
- Your driver and escort/translator will pick up to visit a renowned Parmigiano-Reggiano producer located in an adjacent lovely Parma countryside. Enjoy a cheese sampling in the factory store, along with an opportunity to purchase this wonderful product as well as such other delights as Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale.
- You will be returned to Parma for a two-hour walking tour of intriguing local food shops and open food market with escort/translator. Selected items will be purchased for the upcoming 2nd cooking lesson.
- Lunch and free time ensues. Historic tours can be arranged. Or, enjoy another comfortable Italian style afternoon rest.
- 2nd Cooking Lesson begins at 5:00 p.m. with Chef Alessandra Vignali in her private Parma villa.
- Dinner with wine follows in Chef Alessandra’s elegant residence.
Thursday - Day 4:
- Italian breakfast in regal hotel room.
- In the morning you will be taken on a two-hour Parma walking tour of celebrated historical sights with escort/translator.
- Lunch and free time ensues. Historic tours can be arranged. Or, enjoy another comfortable Italian style afternoon rest.
- 4:30 p.m. Your driver and escort/translator will take you to the 3rd Cooking Lesson – an old villa restaurant 15 Kilometres outside of Parma called Villa S. Giuseppe. Lesson begins at 5 p.m. with skilled restaurant chef.. Thereafter, you will tour the villa’s wine, ham and cheese ageing cellar, along with viewing its old-style guestrooms.
- Farewell Dinner at the Villa S. Giuseppe’s restaurant featuring the food that was prepared during the cooking lesson.
- Return to the hotel.
Friday - Day 5:
- Italian breakfast in regal hotel room.
- Driver picks up guests at hotel and transports them to train station.
